v The DOW-KNIGHT CI-System incorporates
the THERMAX Wall System to create a single-
source rain screen, thermal barrier, and air
barrier solution. Its three-in-one construction is
code compliant and simplifies the wall assembly.
Builders can attach cladding over insulation up to
3 inches thick without needing a thermal bridge
in the assembly, thus providing uninterrupted
continuous insulation. It meets ASHRAE 90.1
requirements and eliminates Z-furring, which can
create the potential for thermal bridging.

v The DuPont Tyvek Fluid Applied
System provides a one-coat air and
water barrier. Wall systems are pro-
tected from water accumulation,
preventing mold, mildew, wood rot,
and corrosion. The low-VOC fluid is
ideal for concrete, CMU, gypsum sheathing, and high-rises
and can be sprayed on or power-rolled. Its low shrinkage and
high elongation and elastic recovery allow it to move with the
building. Vapor permeability is 25 perms.

v Flash & FOIL combines reflective foil and spray
foam insulation to lower energy costs, address radi-
ant heat flow, and provide a vapor retarder. In a 2- by
4-inch cavity, R-values range from R-11 to R-20
based on foam thickness and type. A thin layer of
spray foam provides an air seal and foil is then ap-
plied to the face of the studs, where it expands and
forms reflective air spaces in the cavity. A perforated
version is available if vapor retarders are not desired.

v Nansulate Energy Protect, a clear
liquid insulation with a matte finish
engineered through nanoscience, can
reduce heat conduction, act as a ther-
mal insulation barrier, and resist mold,
moisture, and UV damage to windows,
walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. A
typical three-coat coverage reduces thermal transmission
in cement and plaster walls by 34.8% in testing. The coat-
ing can be painted onto a wide variety of surface types,
including brick, concrete, pre-painted walls and ceilings,
stucco, wood, and metal. It also reduces the effects of
thermal bridging through wall studs.

v Eco-ficient Insulated Metal Pan-
els are available in a variety of wall
and roof panel profiles, thicknesses,
widths, applied finishes, and colors.
The lightweight panels provide easy
installation, reduced labor costs,
earlier business starts, and quicker
paybacks. They require minimal
maintenance that yields potential
cost savings over the lifetime of the
building. They also provide ancillary
cost reductions related to increased
energy efficiency and HVAC equip-
ment capacity reductions. They can
be used with concrete tilt-up, stuc-
co, brick, block, single-skin metal
panels, glazing, and EIFS.
